Jacob Parsons-Wells, LMFT
Greetings! I’m Jacob, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and I love helping people navigate life’s challenges. I often work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship struggles. I’m licensed to work with clients in Tennessee, South Carolina, and Florida, and I’ve spent 20 years helping individuals, couples, and families find ways to move forward.
I hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where I also earned a master’s in Theology. I specialize in working with those who feel a bit different or disconnected. I’m incredibly passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community and with neurodivergent people.
I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a technique that can be especially helpful if past trauma is affecting you. It's an efficient way to process difficult emotions and experiences, and I’m excited to offer it to those interested in it.
When I’m not in the office, I’m either baking bread, playing video games, reading comic books, building something cool with LEGO, or relaxing with my family.
I’m currently accepting new clients and will schedule the first appointments in about 6-8 weeks. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to chat on the phone or over video to ensure we’re a good fit.
I am in-network with Aetna, BCBS of TN, Cigna, Optum, UHC, and UMR. If you’re with a different provider, I can help you with out-of-network paperwork to potentially get reimbursed.
I look forward to hearing from you!
